Sokoto: Protests erupt over police arrest after Deborah Samuel killing Protesters are demanding the release of those arrested in connection with the murder of a young student at Shehu Shagari College of Education, who they accused of insulting the Prophet Muhammad (SWA). Young men and women are staging protests in various places across Sokoto with burning tires, including the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar III.
